Happy Heart Day!

The original plan for Valentines Day with Ryan was we were going to go to Marcello's for dinner. Sunday night, we changed that plan and decided to stay in and cook dinner ourselves since neither of us wanted to spend V-Day with a bunch of other couples in a crowded restaurant.
So, Ryan found a recipe for lemon lime chicken that we decided to try. He went shopping for supplies while I sat in my adolescent psychology class. Yay....anyway, I came over to his house after a glorious nap and we cut up the chicken and made the marinade. We ended up not having enough lemon juice, so we just kicked up the lime assuming it would be fine. After the chicken had been marinating, we headed over to my house to cook it.
The chicken turned out...interesting. The recipe said to cut the chicken into bite sized pieces, but really it should have said strips. Since our chicken pieces were too small, it ended up being kind of dry. Other than being dry, it wasn't too bad, but I thought it was a teeny bit tart. I'm betting that was just the extra lime juice though. After some debating about what to do with the chicken, we ordered a pizza.
I linked the chicken recipe here because I think it does have potential. Assuming you do it right. Haha. But aside from the cheesecake fail, and chicken semi-fail, the evening was really nice. We watched Despicable Me since Ryan hadn't seen it and it was just a low key adventure together and I wouldn't have changed it.
Oh, and did I mention we danced around the kitchen to Michael Buble while the chicken cooked? :D
